Obituary

Mrs. Ann Shaw Harp, age 82, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Providence Pointe Nursing & Rehab in Paducah, KY.
Ann grew up in Orlando, FL and regularly visited her grandparents in Mayfield.  She graduated Stephens College in Columbia, MO and Murray State University in Murray, KY.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a former Deacon and a retired kindergarten teacher with the Mayfield City School System.
Mrs. Harp is survived by two sons, Lonnie (Ronda Harmon) Harp of Danville, KY and Scott (Mechelle) Harp of Paducah, KY; eight grandchildren, Olivia Harp (Cameron) Looper, Alex Harp, Francie Harp, Ella Harp, Logan Harp, Georgia Harp, Dowell Harmon and Virginia Harp; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bill Harp and her parents, Scott Cook Shaw and Lenora Scaff Shaw.
To honor her memory, donations can be made to the Mayfield Board of Education for the kindergarten program at Mayfield Elementary School (Mayfield Board of Education, Attn: Renee Koehler, 914 E. College St., Mayfield, KY 42066) or to the Graves County Library to enhance summer reading activities (Graves County Library, 601 N. 17th St., Mayfield, KY 42066).
A memorial service for Mrs. Ann Shaw Harp will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Don Barger will officiate. A private burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
