Austin Seay Copeland's Obituary
Mr. Austin Seay Copeland, age 94, of Mayfield, KY passed away Thursday November 18, 2021 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran, retired self-employed carpenter, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY.
Austin is survived by his three sons; Austin Downs "Skipper" (Patti) Copeland of Murray, KY, David Frank Copeland, of TX, and Earl Hunt Wiman of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Nancy Copeland of Benton, KY and Mary Caroline Greenwood of Mayfield, KY; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Covington Copeland; one sister, Barbara Ann Taylor; one grandson; his parents, Chauncy "Chink" Copeland and Adell Copeland Norman.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield, KY. Dr. Wes Fowler will officiate.
A memorial visitation will be 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Family requests that masks be worn by those in attendance.
