Mrs. Betty Joe Ballew Clapp, age 99, of Pryorsburg passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

She was a member of Rozzell Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired employee of West KY Rural Electric.

Mrs. Clapp is survived by three sons, Benny (Gail) Clapp of Draffenville, KY, Stanley (Mona) Clapp of Pryorsburg, KY and John (Ann) Clapp of Pryorsburg; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillipine "Pennie" Clapp and her parents, Steven and Lillie Clapp Ballew.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Joe Ballew Clapp will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Andrew Clapp will officiate.  Interment will follow at Rozzell Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rev. Andrew Clapp, Aaron Clapp, Scott Clapp, Brad Clapp, Reed Clapp and William Clapp.  Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Joe Clapp, Barry Clapp and Mason Clapp.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
