Betty Whittemore Crowder Newton's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Whittemore Crowder Newton, age 91, of Paducah, formerly of Viola, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in Paducah, KY.
She was of the Methodist faith, a former employee of Merit Clothing Company and a retired employee of Computer Services of Paducah.
Mrs. Newton is survived by two sons, Bill (Terri) Crowder and Brad (Marlene) Whittemore Crowder both of Hickory, KY; one stepdaughter, Jan Kessinger of Caneyville, KY; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, W.C. "Dub" Crowder; her second husband, Elbert "Slim" Newton; one stepdaughter, Brenda Sue Thurman; two sisters, Sue Whittemore and Johnnie Nell O'Neal; and her parents, John W. and Elizabeth Mahan Whittemore.
A memorial service for Mrs. Betty Whittemore Crowder Newton will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. John Smithmier will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
