Mrs. Betty Lou Gills, age 89, of Lynnville passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at her residence.

She was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church and a retired employee of Murray State University.

Mrs. Gills is survived by one son, Jackie Dale Gills of Palmersville, TN; two sisters, Brenda Trevathan of Dresden, TN and Patsy Betts of Lansing, MI; eight grandchildren, Russ (Kim) Gills, Jason Harrison, Mike (Cristi) Gills, Jessie (Samantha) Gills, Alissa (Ben) Carrico, Mekayla (Dallas) Woodward and Olivia Gills; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Willard "Jack" Gills; two sons, Rickey Lynn Gills and Lynn Dale Gills; three brothers; two sisters; and her parents, Herschel and Mae Workman Mansfield.

A private funeral service for Mrs. Betty Lou Gills will be held at a later date.  Rev. Al Chandler will officiate.  Interment will follow at Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
