Mr. Calvin Moyers, Jr., age 71, of Hickory passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his residence.

He was a self-employed carpenter, a former General Tire employee, a farmer, a loving husband, dad, and the best PaPaw in the world.  He graduated from Lowes High School, class of 1970 and attended Murray State University.  He served as a board member for the Mayfield/Graves County Fire & Rescue Squad.

Mr. Moyers is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Ballew Moyers; two daughters, Christy (James) Sims and Tracy (David) Warner both of Hickory, KY; one son, Calvin (Jessica) Moyers, III of Hickory, KY; one sister, Penny Jaquet of Hickory, KY; one brother, Ronald Moyers of Hickory, KY; and seven grandchildren, Samantha Sims, Mary Beth Davidson, Kelsey Davidson, Cody (Hannah) Sims, Calvin Moyers, IV, Ella Sims and Lainey Moyers.

Mr. Moyers was preceded in death by his parents, Ross E. Calvin and Mary Wallace Moyers, Sr. and a nephew, Ricky Sadler.

Graveside services for Mr. Calvin Moyers, Jr. will be 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Mausoleum.  Rev. Alan Cash will officiate.  Entombment will follow.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Moyers, III, Calvin Moyers, IV, James Sims, Cody Sims, David Warner and Eddie Shelton.  The board members and firefighters of Mayfield/Graves County Fire & Rescue Squad wiil serve as honorary pallbearers.
