Carolyn Gordon Garritson, age 90, of Paducah, KY passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at her residence.

She was a retired employee from the American Cancer Society. Carolyn also taught NRA  gun safety for the Paducah Parks and Recreation Department. She formerly attended Grace Episcopal Church in Paducah, KY.

Carolyn is survived by one daughter, Tara Garritson of Paducah, KY; two sons, Brad Gordon Garritson of Eddyville, KY and Dean James Garritson of Spartanburg, SC; two grandchildren, Lilly Garritson and Piper Garritson.

She is preceded in death by a half brother, Jimmy Gordon and her parents, James Lindell Gordon and Lillian Balthaser Gordon.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements.
