Charles "C.W." Shelton, Sr., age 86, of Mayfield, KY passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Clinton Place in Clinton, KY.

He was a retired self-employed Broker, an Auctioneer for C.W. Shelton Real Estate and Auction Company and a U.S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Theresa Shelton (Brian) Puckett of Gallatin, TN, Lisa Shelton (Gary) Bobo of Killen, AL and Corinne Shelton (David Martin) Rudd of Benton, KY; one son, Charles "Chuck" Wayne (Lou Ann Curtsinger) Shelton, Jr., of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Brenda Fay Green of Benton, KY; two-grandchildren, Zachary Dylan Puckett and Eli Samuel Rudd.

C.W. was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilson Key Shelton, and Rudy Shelton; one sister, Wanda Sue Pickard; his parents were James Logan and Corine E. Owens Shelton.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Bro. Kenneth Puckett will officiate.  Entombment with military graveside honors will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.

Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the funeral home.
