Christine "Peggy" Harned

Christine "Peggy" Harned, aged 96, of Mayfield, KY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center. A member of the First Christian Church in Mayfield, Peggy worked at Stones Drug Store before her retirement.

Peggy is lovingly remembered by her niece, Audrey (Phillip) Viniard of Mayfield, KY; her nephews, Chuck Sumner of Freemont, KY, and Kenny Sumner of New Orleans, LA; and several cherished great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Ray Harned; her brother, Charles Sumner; and her parents, Carl and Betty Sumner.

A private graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield. Byrn Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
