Mr. Daniel Jefferson Tynes, age 74, of Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

He was a member of Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church and a retired employee of Maysweet Feeds.

Mr. Tynes is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Tynes; two brothers, Glen (Sharon) Tynes and Walton (Bonnie) Tynes both of Mayfield, KY; two sisters, Shirley Tynes and Joyce Leab both of Mayfield, KY; four grandchildren, Cody (Ashley) Tynes, Jordyn (Sarah) Reinzan, Jamie Benjamin and Jeremy Duncan; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, James Daniel Tynes; two brothers, Lawrence Tynes, Jr. and Eldridge Tynes; three sisters, Estel King, Linda Kerns and Glenda Parham; and his parents, Lawrence L. and Letha Waggoner Tynes.

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Jefferson Tynes will be 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Keith Allred and Rev. Wayne Rambo will officiate.  Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
