Mrs. DarryE J. Jackson, age 79, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at her residence.

She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Benton, KY and a former member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church.  Mrs. Jackson worked as an RN at Western Baptist Hospital, as an RN instructor at Murray State University, and as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Kentucky Cares and Parkway Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by two sisters, Kathy Lee and Brenda Willett both of Mayfield, KY and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard J. Petway; one sister, Janice Dunigan; and her parents, Darrel and Ruth Pearce Jackson.

Funeral services for Mrs. DarryE J. Jackson will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Richie Clendenen will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pryorsburg, KY.

Pallbearers will be Austin Willett, Alec Giron, Landon Barnett, Jayden Barnett, Chad Pearce, Jason Baker, Ryan Davidson and Brandon Taylor.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the funeral home.
