Deborah McBee Cates, age 67, of Lynnville, KY passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy "Keeter" Cates; one daughter, Nichole (Phillip) Kiefner of Cape Girardeau, MO; one brother, Jim (Lynn) McBee of Murray, KY; three grandchildren, Braylan, Cate and Lane Kiefner.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Kay McBee Dublin; her parents, Glenn Dale and Mella Newsome McBee.

A funeral service for Deborah McBee Cates is scheduled for 12:00PM Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Bro. Gary Cruse will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rhodes Cemetery. Ken Cates, Justin McBee, Terry Beane, Brad Rickman, Danny Foy, and Kent Parm will serve as pallbearers. Waylon Hicks, Danny Howard, Rex Gilbert, and Steve Davis will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the funeral home.
