Derek Gilbert, age 44, of Mayfield, KY passed away Friday December 10, 2021 in Mayfield, KY.

He was employed as a carpet layer.

Derek is survived by two sons, Jaden Gilbert and Draven Gilbert of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Daeanyra (Mitchell) Travis of Sedalia, KY; five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam Gilbert, and his grandparents Jesse and Doris Lancaster.

A Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements.
