Mr. Donald "Donnie" Joseph Cope, age 58, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at his residence.

He was a graduate of Symsonia High School and a retired backhoe operator.

Mr. Cope is survived by his wife, Jenny Sayre Cope; his mother, Carol Nanny Cope of Mayfield, KY; one son, Tyler Cope of Paducah, KY; one stepson, Matthew Duncan of Orem, UT; one daughter, Victoria Brook Cope of Mayfield, KY; two stepdaughters, Amanda (David) Helson of Water Valley, KY and Nicole (Gene) Paschall of Murray, KY; three grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Dana Marie Cope Baldwin; his father, Joseph Cope; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Edith Nanny; and paternal grandparents, R.B. and Etha Mae Cope.

Memorial services for Mr. Donnie Cope will be 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. will officiate.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
