Earl Edward Boyer, age 87, of Mayfield, KY passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the JAckson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

He was a retired employee from Oxford Chemical. Active member of the Farmington Baptist Church, Serving as former Sunday school superintendent and training union director. Earl was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shelby Colley Boyer; two daughters, Katherine (Scott) McGruder of Memphis, TN and Andrea (Dwight) Broyles of Venice, FL; three grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives.

Earl was preceded in death by an infant son; one sister, Norma Boyer; his parents, Earl Joseph Boyer and Mary Johnson Miller.

A memorial graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Farmington Cemetery. Rev. Ben Stratton will officiate. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #26. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery.
