Mrs. Elaine Richard Buckingham, age 55, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

She was a member of Pryorsburg Bible Methodist Church and she formerly attended Enon Baptist Church.  She was a retired employee of Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

Mrs. Buckingham is survived by her husband of 24 years, Lonnie Buckingham; her mother, Joyce Darzuski of Clinton, KY; her father, Joe (Cathy) Richard of Mayfield, KY; two sons, Shane (Allyson) Ingrum and Landen Diel both of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Samantha Page of Mayfield, KY; two brothers, Victor Whitlock of Carlisle County, KY and Robby Steddum of Mayfield, KY; two sisters, Pam (Robert) Marshall of Wingo, KY and Sarah (Tim) English of Sedalia, KY; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Floyd and Nora Teems and her paternal grandparents, Jake and Lucille Richard.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Richard Buckingham will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. G. E. Hussey and Rev. Tim Warren will officiate.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
