Eric Martin Borkenhagen, age 54, of Mayfield, KY formerly of San Diego, CA passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at his residence in Mayfield, KY.

He was of the Christian faith. Eric formerly worked as a software engineer for the U.S. Government and graduated with a degree from San Diego State University. He enjoyed anime, tabletop gaming, and music. Eric learned to play multiple brass instruments and marched in the Rose Parade when in college.

He is survived by his sister Susan (Mark) Doyle of San Diego, CA; two nieces Jennifer Doyle (Michael) Stacy of San Diego, CA, and Rebecca Doyle (Neel) Savalani of San Mateo, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents David and Janet Borkenhagen.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
