Mr. George William Miller, age 83, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield, KY.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, president of ASA Softball Association (1970 - 2001), an avid Mayfield football fan, a former United Way chairman, a former president of URW # 665 and a retired employee of General Tire.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Vaughn-Miller; two daughters, Cindy Price and Carolyn Miller Rust both of Mayfield; two stepdaughters, Tammy Vaughn Harmon of Gallatin, TN and Julie Vaughn Woodard of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Nolan Wayne Miller, Jr. of Paducah, KY; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Dew Miller;  one sister, Martha Miller; and his parents, Nolan Wayne, Sr. and Orene Bivens Miller.

Funeral services for Mr. George William Miller will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Al Chandler will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Blake Rust, Jacob Price, Nick Birchler, Tyson Birchler, Shaun Burney and Rylan Crouch.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the funeral home.
