Mr. George D. Workman, age 87, of Russellville, AR formerly of Graves County, KY passed away Friday December 24, 2021 at the Arkansas State Veterans Home in North Little Rock, AR.

He retired after 20 years of service in the Air Force, and also as an insurance agent for Mutual of Omaha. George was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his two sons, George T. (Vickie) Workman of Mayfield, KY and Russell D. Workman of Murray, KY; one daughter, Stacey Joy Workman of Russellville, AR; three step-sons, Gary Baker of Ozark, AR, Mark (Ann) Baker of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Pat (Judy) Baker of Ormond Beach, FL; one brother, John Workman of Mena, Ar; one sister, Betty Dodson of Mayfield, KY; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.

George was preceded in death by his wife, June Lee Workman; one son, Donald Ray Workman; two step-sons, Larry Baker and Chuck Baker; three brothers, Sam, Corbin and Carvel Workman; seven sisters, Dathon Gibson, Wanda Coughanour, Daisy Helms, Hattie Wade, Lexie Trotter, Naomi Dorn, Gloria Bee Jackson; three grandchildren; parents Allen and Ozzie Holmes Workman.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Chad Frizzell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rhodes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26 of Mayfield.
