Mr. Gregory Ray Hill, age 67, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He was pastor at Rhodes Chapel Baptist Church, former owner / operator of Hill's Bar-B-Que and a retired bus driver with Mayfield Independent School System.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christy Lee Morris Hill; one son, Gregory Jace (Jamie Lynne) Hill of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Allison Hill (James) Whiteley of Mayfield, KY; four sisters, Susan Hill Brantley of Morganfield, KY, Molly Hill (Jerry) Ford of Fairview, TN, Mary Hill (Chris) Hayden of Sikeston, MO and Melissa Hill (Tommy) Armstrong of Mayfield, KY; eight grandchildren, Landann Brown, Jax Hill, Jude Hill, Brayden Cherry, Mela Cherry, Kenton Whiteley, Blake Whiteley and Mallie Whiteley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Hill and Sara Sue Story Pearcy.

Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Ray Hill will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Rick Reeder and Rev. Keith Allred will officiate.  Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. Tim Terrell, Joe Piscatelli, Art Stevens, Chris Copeland, Mike Boys, Brayden Cherry, Jax Hill will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Robertson, Randy Barber, Jeff Hill, Keith Hill, Chris Hayden, Tommy Armstrong, and Jerry Ford.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
