Mr. James Virgil "J.V." Clark, age 80, of Mayfield passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

He was a member of Northside Church of Christ and a retired employee of CCMA in Calvert City.  He enjoyed working with horses, working in his shop and working on the farm.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Lee Cothran Clark; two sons, Kyle (Christina) Clark of Whitney, TX and Jay (Tricia) Clark of Murray, KY; one daughter, Keeli Clark (Matthew) Brenda of Spring Hill, TN; two sisters, Bettye (Phillip) Russell of Mayfield, KY and Pat Morton of Hot Springs, AR; and six grandchildren, Mason Solorzano, Easton Clark, Gracyn Brenda, Addyson Clark, Braxton Brenda and Jack Moody.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse V. "Pete" and Carrie Jones Clark.

Funeral services for Mr. James Virgil "J.V." Clark will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Chris Kemp will officiate.  Interment will follow at Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Brenda, Kyle Cope, Mitchell Cothran, Roy Cothran, Rickie Taylor and Tyler Terrell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Cothran, Ray Cothran, Sherman Cothran, John Motheral, Phillip Russell and Hal Stephens.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
