Mr. James "Jimbo" Robert Seay, age 79, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 at his residence.

He was a member of First Assembly of God, a retired distributing salesman and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Seay is survived by his wife, Mary Ethel Goatley Seay; one son, Bo (Alana) Seay of Nashville, TN; one daughter, Lesa Seay of Paducah, KY; one brother, Mark (Vicki) Seay of Hopkinsville, KY; four sisters, Denise Rouse, Dettye Ann Seay Grooms, Leah Seay Sanoba and Kelley Seay Work; six grandchildren, Chelsie Rodgers, Madeline Couch, Isaac Byrd, Owen Byrd, Addi Matlock and Brodie Seay; and one great grandchild, Myles Couch.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Seay Byrd and his parents, James and Vivian Galloway Seay.

Funeral services for Mr. James "Jimbo" Robert Seay will be 12 noon on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Brad Morris will officiate.  Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Isaac Byrd, Owen Byrd, Addi Seay, Hunter Seay, Logan Seay and Tyler Willett.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon on Friday at the funeral home.
