James Walton "Trey" Standifer, III. left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on March 12, 2026 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. Trey was of the Christian faith and a member of First Christian Church in Mayfield, KY. Trey was a loving husband, father and "Big Daddy ", as well as a United States Air Force veteran and a retiree from Tyson Foods in Union City, TN.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Gina Sims Standifer, son Wesley (Laura) Standifer, daughter Whitney (Wesley) Farris, grandchildren Chloe Standifer, Colt Standifer, Chance Standifer, Reece Farris. Sister Beth (Brad) Wiggins brother John Standifer and many nieces and nephews. Trey was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Beverly Sykes Standifer, grandparents Ralph and Ella Sykes and James and Frances Standifer, two granddaughters Macie Standifer and Claira Standifer.

Trey loved riding his Harley and his many motorcycle riding friends. He loved summer months on his boat on Kentucky Lake floating on a noodle with a big fat cigar and a Bud Light. What made him happiest was spending time with his children and most especially his grandbabies. Trey will be missed by many. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
