James Daniel Tynes, age 56, of Benton, KY passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his residence.

He was a self employed construction worker and farmer.

Mr. Tynes is survived by his wife, Sharon Tynes; two sons, Cody (Ashley) Tynes of Murray, KY and Jeremy Duncan of Hickory, KY; two daughters, Jordyn (Sarah Reinzan) Tynes of Covington, KY and Jamie Benjamin of Symsonia, KY; his parents, Daniel and Elizabeth "Betty" Burgess Tynes of Golo, KY; one sister, Cathy (Kevin) Dowdy of Mayfield, KY; eight grandchildren, Dallas Tynes, Dalton Tynes, Duncan Tynes, Dutton Tynes, Sawyer Reinzan, Cherish Willis, Tatum Willis, and Apollo Benjamin; three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral arrangements for James Daniel Tynes are scheduled for 2:00PM Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Keith Allred will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Sand Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2025 at the funeral home.
