Obituary

Mr. James R. Warner, age 87, of Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at his residence.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a retired employee of Howard D. Happy Company and a U. S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Mr. Warner is survived by his wife, Wanda Warner; three sons, David (Tracy) Warner of Hickory, KY, Darryl (Tammy) Warner of Evansville, IN and Dennis (Susan) Warner of Louisville, KY; one daughter, Deborah (Joe) Higdon of Fancy Farm, KY; twelve grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, James L. Langston and his mother, Mozell Sayre Langston.
Funeral mass for Mr. James R. Warner will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield, KY.  Father Eric Riley will officiate.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 26.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Higdon, Chris Higdon, Joseph Higdon, Logan Warner, Landon Warner, Luke Warner and Jeffrey Warner.
Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements.
