Janice Dawson passed away peacefully surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life. A devoted mother, proud grandmother, and loyal fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. Janice lived with heart, humor, and unmistakable spirit.

Janice retired as a senior secretary after many years of dedicated service. She was known for her organization, professionalism, and the steady presence she brought to every office. Colleagues appreciated not only her skill and reliability but also her warmth and quick wit.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren to pieces, and they were truly the center of her world. She celebrated their accomplishments, supported them through challenges, and made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved. Family gatherings were brighter because she was there.

Janice was a spunky character with a bold personality and a loving heart. She could make people laugh with a simple comment and had a way of speaking her mind while still making you feel cared for. Her strength, loyalty, and humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and fierce devotion to family that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Mrs. Dawson is survived by one son, Randall Walter Dawson of Wilmington, DE; one stepson, Walter J. Dawson III of Virginia; one daughter, Donna L. Dawson Watson of Mayfield, KY; one stepdaughter, June Layfield of Apopka, FL; one brother, Carl Roy Taylor of Clearwater, FL; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Joseph Dawson, Jr. and her parents, Roy E. and Anna Whalen Taylor.

A private memorial for Mrs. Janice Ann Taylor Dawson will be held at a later date.
