Mr. Jeffery Dale "Jeff" Sholar, age 58, of Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at his residence.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a retired 30 year employee of McClain Trucking.

Mr. Sholar is survived by his mother, Mary Fay Darnell (Thelma Dowdy, Jr.) Dowdy of Mayfield and two brothers, Rev. Mark (Sarah) Dowdy of Martin, TN and Alan Sholar of Morehead, KY.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Sholar.

Funeral services for Mr. Jeffery Dale "Jeff" Sholar will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Larry Frazier and Rev. Mark Dowdy will officiate.  Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Brewer, Daryl Brewer, Chuckie Davis, Dennie Hopwood, Ronnie Keeling and Daniel Dowdy.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
