Jennifer Elizabeth
Lee
Apr 19, 1996 — Jul 3, 2026
Jennifer Elizabeth Lee, Mayfield, passed away at her home Friday, July 3rd.
Jen, as her family called her, or Jenni B as many of her friends called her, was one of those people you might not notice in a room full of people but wouldn't forget once you met her.
For the last 18 years, Jen fought epilepsy but would not let it define her. She never complained or asked, "Why me?" She had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up a room. She was a classic introvert until she was introduced to the stage. Her fellow cast members, directors, and friends at the Purchase Players brought her out of her shell in a beautiful way. Being on stage gave her a confidence the epilepsy had tried to take away.
Jen loved to garden. She had her own small greenhouse, full of tree saplings she had dug up out of the yard and potted, succulents, and flowers. She was so proud of the tiny vegetable garden she started this year.
She was such an old soul. Jen loved to crochet, knit, sew, and make her own clothes. She would sit for hours in her room with some kind of needle and thread or another. Antiquing was another of her favorite past times.
She also loved all things spooky. Halloween was her favorite time of the year, black was her favorite color, Edgar Allen Poe her favorite poet, and horror movies with her mom and sister were the best.
Jen is survived by her parents, Stephanie and Jamie Lee, her sister Hannah Daughenbaugh (Adrion), her paternal grandparents Danny and Deana Lee, her maternal step grandfather Randy Smith, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Hope Smith and Jim Rule; Jen was also survived by her beloved cats, Molli and Calypso.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 7th, 5-8 pm with her funeral Wednesday, 11 am at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield.
