Mr. Jerry M. Ray, age 85, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

He was a member of 7th and College Church of Christ, a retired employee of Driver Motors and a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife, Nancy Wilkerson Ray; one daughter-in-law, Susan Ray of Ellicott City, MD; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Collin) Matheny of Lorain, OH, Alex Ray of Sykesville, MD and Jeff Ray of Japan; and one great granddaughter, Ryleigh Matheny.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ray and his parents, Rupert and Ila Mae Pickard Ray.

Graveside services for Mr. Jerry M. Ray will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Highland Park Cemetery.  Collin Matheny will officiate.  Interment will follow.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Ray, Steve Ray, David Driver and Ronnie Wilkerson.

There is no visitation scheduled.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
