Mr. John W. Adams, age 66, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Continue Care Hospital in Paducah, KY.

He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, an avid bowler, golfer, gardener, and Cardinal fan, an Eagle scout and a former Jaycee.  He was employed by his daughter at Awardmasters and was a retired employee of Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jana Bennett Adams; his children, Alex (Tyler) Goodman of Mayfield, KY, Todd (Ashley) Grooms of Nashville, TN, Eric (Abby) Noonan of Mayfield, KY and Kory Wheeler of Marion, KY; one sister, Amanda (Louis) Korfhage of Louisville, KY; one sister-in-law, Julie Adams of Mayfield, KY; and he was "Papa John" to five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. James H. Adams, Jr.; his parents, Dr. James H. Adams, Sr. and Sara DeLaudson Adams; and his mother-in-law, Jean Ann Seavers.

Memorial services for Mr. John W. Adams will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Stacy Overby and Marlen Wood will officiate.  Inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
