Joyce Adams Dowdy, age 79, of Mayfield, KY passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield, KY.

She was of the Pentecostal Faith and a retired CNA.

Joyce is survived by two daughters, Christy Dowdy (Ted) Sharp and Lana Dowdy (Gaylon) Moore both of Mayfield, KY; one son, Kevin (Cathy) Dowdy of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Judy (Elvis) Rambo of Hickory, KY; ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Glynn Dowdy; one son, Jerry Keith Dowdy; one grandson, Jathen Trent "J Bug" Sharp her parents Lee Adams and Lois Owens Harrison.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Mayfield Memory Gardens in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Chad Lamb will officiate. No public visitation is scheduled. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements.
