Mr. J. T. Vaughn, Sr., age 101, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Mayfield Health & Rehab in Mayfield, KY.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a retired employee of TVA and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Vaughn is survived by one son, Tommy (Belinda) Vaughn of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Sharon (Darryl) Gibbs of Titusville, FL; one sister, Linda S. Rickman of Mayfield, KY; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Dillion Vaughn; three brothers, Gobel Vaughn, Hayden H. Vaughn and Harold Vaughn; and his parents, Dewey and Farrah Carr Vaughn.

Funeral services for Mr. J. T. Vaughn, Sr. will be 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.

Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
