Miss Kathy J. Copeland, age 65, of Mayfield passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Baptist Health of Paducah.

She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, a retired music teacher and a longtime gospel group singer.

Miss Copeland is survived by two brothers, James Keith (Lisa) Copeland of Murray, KY and Kevin Glyn (Laura) Copeland of Boaz, KY; a special caregiver, Kim Newsome of Mayfield, KY; several cousins, several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Glynn O'Neal and Sue Coltharp Copeland.

Funeral services for Miss Kathy J. Copeland will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Mike Baker, Rev. Dean Doster and Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate.  Interment will follow at Cuba Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Joe Seay, Greg Davis, Clint Copeland, Cody Lokits, Terry Bradley, Drew Davis, Brady Davis and Lance Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Holland, Lane Copeland, Dana Ballard, Bobby Bradley and Harold Copeland.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the funeral home.
