Mr. Lennis Murrel Hargrove, age 81, of St. Louis, MO formerly of Mayfield, KY passed away Monday September 13, 2021 at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Murrel retired from Bridge Data in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and Air Force Veteran.

Murrel is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Rogers Hargrove; one son, Russel (Tammy) Hargrove of Huntsville, AL; one daughter, Janet Hargrove (Mark) Sanders of St. Louis, MO; three brothers, Edward (Sally) Hargrove, Donald (Bonnie) Hargrove, and Kenneth (Nancy) Hargrove all of Mayfield, KY; two sisters, Nita Crawford and Virginia Biss both of Mayfield, KY; five grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Hargrove; his parents, Lennis Franklin Hargrove and Mallie Josie Skaggs Hargrove.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00AM Friday September 17, 2021 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev.Glenn Cope will officiate. Interment will follow in the North Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM -11:00AM Friday September 17, 2021 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor at worldvision.org.
