It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda K. Payne, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2025. at the age of 80.

Linda dedicated her life to faith, family, and music. She served as a devoted church secretary, touching many lives with her kindness and unwavering spirit. A gifted musician, she shared her love of music by teaching voice and piano lessons, inspiring countless students along the way. Her passion for ministry extended beyond the church walls, as she also worked in jail ministry, offering hope and encouragement to those in need. Above all, Linda loved to sing, using her voice to glorify God and bring joy to others.

Linda is survived by her husband, Tommy Payne of Frisco, Texas, and her daughters Terri Fortner and husband Barry of Plano, TX, Staci Arauz and husband Osman of Clute, TX and Cindy Byrd and husband Ken of Hendersonville, NC.  She is also survived by her grandchildren and her great granddaughter.

A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Saturday, February 1, at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, Kentucky at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will be held from noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in her memory.

Her legacy of faith, love, and music will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
