Mrs. Martha A. Johnson Mason, age 78, of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at her residence.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cunningham, KY and a retired teacher from Cuba Elementary School.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bro. William E. Mason; one son, Lindsey (Michele) Mason of Springfield, OH; one daughter, Haven (Steve) Howell of Mooreville, MS; two sisters, Jane Parker of Baldwyn, MS and Denice (Allan) Erwin of Saltillo, MS; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Johnson; one sister, Wanda Parmer; and her parents, John and Eulaly Farris Johnson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha A. Johnson Mason will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Tim Harvey and Rev. Larry Purcell will officiate.  Interment will follow at Doty Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Shannon, MS.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Howell, Timothy Howell, Thomas Howell, Daniel Mason, Brennon Mason and Logan Mitchell.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
