Martha Alice Moreland Strong, age 85, of Mayfield, KY passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield, KY.

She was a retired secretary for the Graves County Baptist Association. Martha was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY. She formerly served alongside her husband at Lynnville Baptist Church and Pryorsburg Baptist Church.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Jean A. (Jeffrey) Sutton of Madisonville, KY; one son, John (Phaedra) Strong of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Deborah Perry of Farmington, KY and Rebekah (Sammy) Young of Walling, TN; two brothers, Joe (Mary) Moreland of Benton, KY and Jimmy (Marlene) Moreland of Hanson, KY; one daughter-in-law, Karen Leigh Strong of Henderson, NV; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William H. Strong; one son, Billy Joe Strong; one sister, Treva Breedlove; one brother, Kenneth Moreland; her parents were Vester and Dortha Oliver Moreland.

A funeral service for Martha Alice Moreland Strong is scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Al Chandler will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Byrn Funeral Home.
