Mrs. Mary Jo Wade, age 89, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, KY.

She was a member of McKendree Community Church and a retired employee of TVA.

Mrs. Wade is survived by one son, Bruce (Jamie) Wade of Murray, KY; one daughter, Anita (Benjie) Pearson of Hickory, KY; one brother, Harmon Ray (Eva) Hopwood of Hickory, KY; three grandchildren, Jameson (Sara) Wade, Kyle (Holly) Wade and Kelsey (Ryan) Lemon; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Chapman Wade and her parents, General Ray and Emmalieu Wilkerson Hopwood.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jo Wade will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Bro. Richard Dowdy will officiate.  Interment will follow at Spence Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jameson Wade, Kyle Wade, Ryan Lemon, Denny Hopwood, Kenneth Smith and Michael Brown.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Wade, Dennis Hopwood and Harmon Louis Hopwood.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
