Mr. Matthew "Matt" John Steiert, age 64, of Tulsa, OK passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at his residence.

He was of the Catholic faith and a retired employee of St. Francis Hospital. Matt was a 1980 graduate of Mayfield High School.

He is survived by his mother, Delores Steiert of Mayfield, KY; two sons, Nicholas Steiert and Matthew Steiert both of Tulsa, OK; one stepdaughter, Megan Sayler of Louisville, KY; two brothers, Bruce (Jo Ann) Riley Steiert and Robert Steiert both of Mayfield, KY; and one sister, Laurie Fowler of Wingo, KY.

He was preceded in death by his one stepbrother, Steve Steiert and his father, Charles Edward Steiert.

A memorial visitation is scheduled from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. A private inurnment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
