Mr. Michael Raymond Short, age 67, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at his residence.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a retired employee of San Bernardino County, California.

Mr. Short is survived by one son, Michael Hollis (Hailey Erin) Short of Mayfield, KY; three daughters, Dr. Tawnie Lowther of Palm Springs, CA, Casey Michelle (Dennis) Piatt of Dublin, CA and Dixie Lee Short of Studio City, CA; two brothers, Lyle (Jolyn) Short of Upland, CA and Stephen Short of Adelanto, CA; one sister, Kathy Forrester of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; and seven grandchildren, Aaron, Denny, Ayden, Nox, Cole, Jacob and Raegan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Alice Joan Williams Short.

A private family memorial service for Mr. Michael Raymond Short will be held at a later date.
