Rebecca Pearl (Murphy) Cox, 91 of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday July 22 at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray.

Rebecca was born on April 8, 1934 to George and Stella (Gipson) Murphy. She was raised in Graves County with her six siblings. On January 31, 1953, she married Kenneth Cox also of Graves County. Together they raised three children, Kenneth Jr, Tari and Pam. Rebecca was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She was an equally devoted Christian and member of the Baptist faith. Rebecca loved her Lord and her family fiercely. She will be missed by many.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cox, Sr., parents George and Stella (Gipson) Murphy her siblings: Walter "Dub" (Nannie Sue) Murphy, William J (survived by wife Fannie Nell) Murphy, Georgie Mae (Robert) Rennie, Linda Sue (Jimmy) Sparks, Betty (Jack) Garner and Juanita (Connie) Skaggs. She is survived by her children Kenneth Jr (Mary) Cox, Tari (Jerry) Smith and Pam (Dusty) Keith, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of bonus grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the North Mt. Zion Cemetery on Thursday July 24, 2025 at 9:00am. No visitation is scheduled. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to North Mt. Zion Cemetery.
