Mrs. Regina Dawn Rakestraw, age 58, of Mayfield passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Continue Care in Paducah, KY.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mayfield, KY and a homemaker.

Mrs. Rakestraw is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard A. Rakestraw; one son, Matthew Rakestraw of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Amanda (Patrick Newton) Rakestraw of Campbellsville, KY; two brothers, Tim Smiley of Lewisburgh, PA and Mike (Melissa) Smiley of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Kim Dublin of Mayfield, KY; and one sister-in-law, Amy Conrad Smiley of Lewisburgh, PA.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Tyler Rakestraw and her parents, Clyde and Betty Campbell Smiley.

A memorial service for Mrs. Regina Dawn Rakestraw will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Joey Reed will officiate.  Interment will follow at Farmington Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
