Rhonda Jolette Brittain, age 59 of Mayfield, KY passed away at 3:30 pm Friday, September 15, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Rhonda was born in Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday, December 10, 1963 to James and Helen Elliott. Mrs. Brittain grew up near Mayfield, KY and spent most of her life doing craft shows and raising three children. She was diagnosed with cancer in her early 30's but still managed to work hard and take care of her family. Rhonda was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mayfield.

Mrs. Brittain is survived by her two sons, Mark Anthony Brittain of Paducah, KY, and Chris (Whitney) Brittain of Melber, KY; one daughter, Angie (Nathan) Lee of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Judy (Tommy) Moore of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Robert (Trena) Elliott of the Boaz, KY; six grandchildren, Coby, Hailey, Alyssa, Luke, Kaylee and Kyler; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Elliott and Helen Russelburg as well as her sister Joy Cullen.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Rick Walker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens in Mayfield. Coby Janes Luke Janes, James Moore, Tommy Lambert, Stevie Harpole, and Josh Dunham will be pallbearers. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday September 19, 2023 at the Byrn Funeral Home.
