Richard A. Adams, age 84, of Mayfield, KY passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, KY.

Richard retired from Honeywell as a welder and pipefitter. He was a member of the Trace Creek Baptist Church. Richard was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and had a love for classic cars.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Adams (Tommy) Copeland of Benton, KY and Nicole Adams (John) Sullivan of Almo, KY; one brother, Tim Adams of Mayfield; Three grandchildren, Tommy (Amy) Copeland of Richmond, KY, Landon Sullivan of Murray, KY and Kalyssa Sullivan of Almo, KY; two great grandchildren also survive.

Richard was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ricky and Andy Adams, Jr.; one sister, Donna Mae Penney; one grandson, Richard Bradley Copeland; his parents were Andy and Louise Skaggs Adams.

A funeral service for Richard A. Adams is scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, September 1, 2025 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday September 1, 2025 at the funeral home.
