Mr. Richard G. Atwell, age 79, of Hickory passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

He was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of Labor Hall 1214 in Paducah, KY.

Mr. Atwell is survived by wife, Eldean Warren Atwell and one step grandson, Thomas Warren.

He was preceded in death by his stepson, James Thomas Warren and his parents, Richard and Retha Jane Mohler Atwell.

Graveside services for Mr. Richard G. Atwell will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Wayne Rambo will officiate. Interment will follow.

Pallbearers will be Danny Toon, Richard Toon, David Cissell, Henry Broach, Josh Cope and Gary Cope.  Mike Tucker will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
