Mr. Richard "Ricky" Copeland, age 68, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026 at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He was a member, trustee, assistant treasurer and children's Sunday School teacher of Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church and a 47 year employee of Dairyman's Supply Company.

Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jan Copeland; one son, Kyle (Katie) Copeland of Cleveland, TN; two brothers, Robert (Diane) Copeland and Chris (Beverly) Copeland both of Mayfield, KY; and two grandchildren, Nolan Copeland and Laney Copeland both of Cleveland, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Louise Henley Copeland.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard "Ricky" Copeland will be 1:00 p.m.. on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church.  Rev. Keith Allred will officiate.  Interment will follow at Trace Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nolan Copeland, Kyle Copeland, Joe Riley, Daniel Riley, Dave Watson, and Billy Blackwell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Cook, Curt Boyd, Jr., Gregory Cook, Richard Rickman, Scott Awbery, Brett Willie, Corey Newsome and Blake Kendall.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
