Mr.  Richard "Richie" Galloway, age 72, of Sedalia passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Mercy Health Lourdes in Paducah, KY.

He was a member of Lebanon Church of Christ, a founding member of the original Graves County Eagle Booster Club, a member of the Graves County School Board, a Graves County Commissioner, a member of the Board of Directors for Purchase Area Development District, a board member of the PACRO executive committee, a member of Farmington Masonic Lodge for 50 years and a retired employee of Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.  He was devoted to his church family, his wife, his children, his friends, Sedalia and all of Graves County.

Mr. Galloway is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cathy Simpson Galloway; one son Nathan (April) Galloway of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Amy Galloway of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Larry Galloway of Murray, KY; one sister, Nancy Galloway (Curt) Kuechler of Charlotte, NC; and one grandchild, Sophie Galloway.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marshall Galloway and his parents, N.L. and Lena Summerville Galloway.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard "Richie" Galloway will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Elliott Hamm and Collin Matheny will officiate.  Interment will follow at Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Galloway, Pete Galloway, Bob Galloway, Johnny Cates, Larry Galloway, Bobby Galloway and Chris King.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Paschall, Billy Galloway, Larry Whitlow, Gary Whitlow, Ronnie Galloway and Chris Tucker.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, at the funeral home.
