Robert Edward "E.T." Thompson, age 65, of Mayfield, KY passed away  Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

E.T. worked for many years as a logger, machine operator and as a truck driver.

He is survived by one son, David Thompson; one brother, Michael Thompson of Mayfield, KY.

E.T. was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kathrine Mathews and Barbara Mae Thompson; his parents were William Edward and Jessie Lee Cummins Thompson.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is inc charge of arrangements.
