Robert "Bob" Wayne McClain, age 78, of Sedalia, KY passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

Bob retired from General Tire and formerly owned Bob and Ann's Market in Sedalia, KY. He was also a member of the Seven Oaks Church of Christ in Mayfield.

Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Hendley McClain; one grandson, Payton (Emma) McClain of Mayfield, KY; one granddaughter, Hannah McClain (Conner) Simpson of Paducah, KY; one brother, Ronnie (Donna) McClain of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Vicki McClain (David) Lamb of Mayfield, KY; one great granddaughter, Maggie Kaye Simpson also survives.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chris McClain; two brothers, Frank McClain and Roger McClain; one sister, Phyllis McClain Canter; his parents were Forrest and Pauline Adams McClain.

A funeral service for Robert "Bob" Wayne McClain is scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Mykel Tidwell will officiate, Interment will follow in the Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery. Payton McClain, Ricky Hendley, Brad Wiggins, Jason Riley, Scott Lemon and Mike Boyd will serve as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Byrn Funeral Home.
