Mr. Ronnie W. Stokes, age 81, of Mayfield, formerly of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY.

He was a retired employee of KY-TN Clay Company, a 3rd Degree Mason and a U.S. army veteran having served in Germany and Vietnam. Ronnie enjoyed his hobby of woodworking, being a member of the Vietnam Motorcycle Club and a supporter of POW/MIA.

Mr. Stokes is survived by his wife of 53 years, Levon Stokes; a special nephew, Allan (Joy) Stokes of Madisonville, KY; one niece, Denise Abanatha; one nephew, Tim Henderson; great nephew, Ronnie James Stokes; great niece, Nevaeh Stokes; his four-legged companion, Princess; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sherrill Stokes and Bill Stokes; three sisters, Janet Henderson, Karol Stokes and Karon Stokes; two nephews, Mike Henderson and Brian Stokes; and his parents, Lester and Lucille Crow Stokes.

Memorial visitation for Mr. Ronnie W. Stokes will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
